The return of spring in Highlands, NC, heralds many wonderful things... the re-greening of the mountains, the blooming of the mountain laurel, the return of our seasonal residents, and gala events celebrating the beginning of a new season!
The fourth annual Collective Spirits is a multi-day wine festival (over 600 attendees, May 20-22, 2010) in the resort community of Highlands, North Carolina. Collective Spirits features private wine dinners, grand wine tastings featuring both value wines and rare bottles, a gala dinner, live and silent auctions, a culinary 'samplings' by local chefs, and symposiums conducted by leading wine specialists. Proceeds benefit The Bascom, a nonprofit visual arts center that recently completed a six-acre, $13 million campus.
